Telecoms audit and PSTN migration
Every line, number and contract you have, found and listed, including the alarm and the lift, a digital replacement chosen for each, and the migration done before 31 January 2027.
Who it is for
Businesses in Teesside and the North East with analogue or ISDN lines still in use, or with no clear list of what they have: several suppliers, bills nobody reconciles, numbers nobody can place, and alarms, lifts or card terminals that run over a phone line. Also multi-site businesses that want one telecoms estate before the date.
What you get
One list of every line, number and contract, what runs over each and who supplies it; a replacement chosen for each; the numbers that matter ported; the alarm and lift lines moved to a replacement their supplier has tested; and nothing left on a line that is about to be withdrawn.
The problem
Most businesses have lines nobody has listed, and those are the ones that stop working at the switch-off.
Openreach is retiring the analogue and ISDN network, with 31 January 2027 as the date the switch-off completes, and no new analogue line can be ordered. Your phones may already be modern, but the lines behind them, the alarm panel, the lift car, the door entry panel and the card terminal often are not, and they are rarely on anyone's list.
The audit comes first. We check the bills, the comms cupboard and the building, and produce one list: every line, what runs over it, who supplies it, what it costs and which numbers must survive. Then a replacement is chosen for each line: hosted voice, SIP or Microsoft Teams for the phones, a digital service for the alarm and lift lines, and broadband or ethernet to carry it all.
As a telecoms provider with our own network we can do the migration as well as the audit, so the plan and the move are the same people's work. The audit is a fixed fee, credited against the migration if we do it, and the list and plan are yours to act on with us or without us. Most businesses end up with fewer lines and lower rental.

Questions people ask
When is the PSTN switch-off?
Openreach is retiring the analogue and ISDN network, with 31 January 2027 as the date the switch-off completes. No new analogue line can be ordered now, and business lines not migrated by the date are not guaranteed to work.
What runs over a phone line that we might miss?
The alarm panel, the lift car, the door entry panel, the fax, the franking machine, the card terminal and old dial-up equipment in the server room. The audit checks the building for each of them.
Can we keep our numbers?
Almost always. We check every number in the audit and tell you before the migration if one cannot port.
Will our alarm and lift still work?
Only on a replacement their own companies have tested. We give you the questions to put to each company in writing, about what their equipment will run over after the switch-off, and their answers set the plan for those lines.
How much does a telecoms audit cost?
A fixed fee set by the number of sites, agreed before we start and credited against the migration if we do it. The migration is a fixed-price project, and the new services are quoted as their own services.
Do we have to move our phones to Odyssey?
No. The list and the plan are yours, to act on with us, with another supplier or with your own team.
