Questions people ask
Does Microsoft back up our Microsoft 365 data?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but protecting your data against deletion, corruption or ransomware is your responsibility. We back up Microsoft 365 email and files separately so they can be restored.
How quickly can you restore?
That depends on the recovery objectives we agree for each system. We talk you through how often each one is backed up and how fast it needs to be back.
What can you back up?
On-site servers and computers, systems in our private cloud and in Azure, and Microsoft 365 email and files, so every copy of your data is covered wherever it lives.
Do we need this if our servers are in the Odyssey private cloud?
Backup is already built in as standard on the Odyssey private cloud. This service covers everything else, such as on-site servers, computers, Azure systems and Microsoft 365.
