One site, hosted Mitel and 500 orders a night for Country Valley Foods
Two sites became one, with hosted Mitel telephony, cordless handsets across 36,000 sq ft and microwave internet.
The challenge
Country Valley Foods, founded in 1971 as a poultry wholesaler and now a catering, butcher and wholesale food company across the North of England, was consolidating from Billingham and Darlington onto one Billingham site. It had to keep each site's phone numbers and know which one callers dialled, handle hundreds of overnight orders, and cover 36,000 sq ft of food storage.
What Odyssey did
In 2017, as a new client, Country Valley Foods had Odyssey upgrade its telephony to a fully hosted Mitel system on carrier-grade infrastructure with failover. Odyssey installed water-resistant cordless handsets with the range to cover the whole site, and provided high-speed internet over long-distance microwave because local infrastructure could not support broadband. During installation, orders were routed to iPads so night staff never lost service.
The result
The consolidated site kept its numbers and caller identification, gained coverage across all storage areas, and can capture and convert up to 500 orders a night.
